    Obituary; Stroud: Advance Correspondence
It is our duty this week to chronicle the death of one of the oldest if not the oldest -pioneer of Simcoe county in the person of Henry Reynolds, who passed away on Sunday morning at his home in this village at the ripe old age of 95 years and five months. Deceased was born in Lubberhead, County Derry, Ireland, 1800 and came to Canada in 1831 settling in the town of Markham. After the rebellion of 37 in which he took an active part, he came to Innisfil, where he resided until his death. The funeral took place on Tuesday to the Methodist Cemetery and was accompanied by a large concourse of friends and relatives, together with the brethren of Stroud, Craigvale, Churchill, Allandale and Thornton Orange Lodges of which Society the deceased was a member since the year 1818. He leaves 5 sons and 2 daughters to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent father. They will please accept our heartfelt sympathies in this their loss and console themselves with the thought that he has gone to be with Jesus which is far better.
