Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Turner and Cressy Steele attended a birthday dinner Sunday at the home of Mrs. Turner's brother, Lee Medcalf, at Fairgrove. The dinner was in honor of Mr. Medcalf's birthday, and his brothers and sisters and their families were present.

Lee A. Metcalf of 307 N. Ringle Rd., Fairgrove, died Aug. 22 at the Tusco la County Medical Care Facility. He was 87. Metcalf was born Dec. 11, 18 89 in Ellington. He was a retired farmer. He married Sarah Mae Foster on D ec 31, 1931 in Fairgrove. She survives. Other survivors include: two son s, Clifton and Harold of Fairgrove; a daughter, Mrs. Milner (Margaret) Gr ay of Indianapolis, Ind.; 15 grandchildren,; and 10 great-grandchildren. O ne son, Lyle, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held today (Wednes day) Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, Fairgrove. Rev. Donald By er will officiate with burial in Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove.
