Matthew G. Hallman, 23, Fremont, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 30, 2001) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Fort Wayne. Mr. Hallman was a 1996 graduate of New Hope Christian School, Camden, Mich., and attended Huntington College, where he was active in theater productions, for two years. He was a private first class in the Army and had been stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. He attended Anchor Community Church in Fort Wayne. He was born March 26, 1978 in Southampton, Ont., to Gerald C. and Rozanne Stucky Hallman. His parents survive. Other survivors include three brothers, Timothy M. Hallman and Jeremy C. Hallman, both of Fort Wayne, and Mike MacFarlane of Angola. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Hallman. Calling is from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel and one hour before the 11 a.m. Friday funeral service at College Park United Brethren Church. Rev. Bill Case will conduct the services. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
